The Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia University presents, "United Nations Climate Negotiations: Perspectives From a Small Island Nation." This is a continuation of conversations related to small island nations as they begin to lose land mass due to climate change. What are the legal impacts for these populations? What happens to the natural resources of a nation as it begins to go underwater? These and other questions will be examined.

Earth Institute Sustainability Management Fellows Program Announced
The Earth Institute and the Masters of Science in Sustainability Management program is very pleased to announce the creation of the Earth Institute Sustainability Management (EISM) Fellows program. This new program provides a total of $50,000 in fellowship funding for use toward the cost of tuition for the M.S. in Sustainability Management program.
Baruch College 5th Annual Symposium on Sustainable Business – Friday, February 8th
On February 8th, Baruch College will host its 5th Annual Symposium on Sustainable Business. This year's Symposium will examine how multinational corporations are attempting to overcome these challenges. The Symposium will explore ESG, the acronym which describes the three areas of focus used - environment, social and governance - when measuring and reporting on business sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

M.S. in Sustainability Management (MSSM) professor Judy Sandford is Senior Strategist of Sustainability Communications, at Addison – a brand strategy and communications design firm. She founded Addison’s sustainability practice in 2007, and consults with some of the world’s largest corporations on best practices in sustainability reporting and related communications.
