SUMA Students Participate in Scavenger Hunt with Sustainable Sites

On Saturday, October 20th, around 30 SUMA students participated in the first ever SUMASA Sustainable Scavenger Hunt. The participants were split into five teams and given clues for sustainable sites around Manhattan including a LEED building on the Columbia campus, a solar-powered billboard in Times Square, a carbon neutral bakery in NoLita, and ending with drinks under the High Line as a reward for completing the hunt. As well as being a fun break from studying for SUMA students, the event raised $430 for NY Cares Winter Wishes Program, which will provide holiday gifts for disadvantaged children, teens, and families.
