The Earth Institute, Office of the Executive Vice President for research and the World Leaders Forum present, “After Sandy: Climate and Our Coastal Future”. This university forum features faculty researchers from Columbia’s Earth Institute, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, NASA-Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the Mailman School of Public Health, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of International and Public Affairs.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Columbia faculty from schools, institutes and centers from across the university have provided a key source of insight to the media, general public and policy-makers about the related issues of climate change and sustainable development in the face of rising sea levels around the globe.
