This internship is an opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of helping organizations become more sustainable. The intern will contribute to Third Partners’ work with clients on sustainability strategy and implementation, as well as our core business functions. The intern will research and author blogs, white papers, and other sustainability content related to both our service offerings and key sustainability issues of our clients and prospects. The intern will work within our CRM system to identify, qualify, and research new clients for sustainability consulting work or special projects. The intern will also support social media efforts and help launch our curated news feed which involves building a subscriber base using creative approaches. The intern must be open to tasks that fall outside the above description.
Position: Internship: Sustainability Consultant
Location: New York, NY with some telecommuting
Compensation: Paid Internship, 20 Hours per Week
Term: Feb through May 2015 (specific dates are flexible)
All candidates must have:
● Completed a B.A. or B.S., or at least 3 to 4 years of undergraduate college
● Strong writing skills (writing sample required, see below)
● Environmental studies coursework: not necessarily an Environmental studies major, but must have coursework or professional experience with sustainability topics
● An interest in the intersection of sustainability and business and sustainability consulting as a career
● A self-starting mindset with a high level of accountability, comfortable working independently and managing priorities, and able to use creativity to independently close gaps in information
● A positive attitude and communicate with our team and clients in a professional manner
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:
● Currently pursuing a graduate level degree related to sustainability
● Experience in marketing, social media, and/or email list management tools
