As graduate students, we are all building new skills we would like to use in our current or future career paths. However, many of our newer skills are underrepresented on our LinkedIn profiles. This pizza party is meant to give your LinkedIn profile and professional network a boost.
There are three reasons to attend: 1) take some time to connect with your peers on LinkedIn and maximize your network; 2) build endorsements for your newest skills that you’d like recognized; and 3) there will be pizza (please bring $5).
How does it work?
Bring your laptop, 3 to 5 skills you would like your peers to endorse, and a 3 minute (maximum, we will enforce this) description of your qualifications for these endorsements. Your peers will listen and endorse you live, but only if you present a compelling case and sell yourself!
