ThinkEco has partnered with Con Edison to create a residential program called coolNYC that lets users better control their energy use from the biggest energy hog in their home: their window ACs.
Participants get smartAC kits to control their ACs from anywhere, anytime with their smartphone or computer. Customers who already have Wi-Fi enabled ACs can join by enrolling their ACs in the program.
coolNYC members help maintain the stability of our electric grid during periods of high use by participating in coolNYC Events. During the Event, thousands of New Yorkers reduce their power use by cooling at a slightly higher temperature setting. This allows us to reduce the pressure on the electric grid, and most participants don’t notice any change. Visit the coolNYC website to learn more and sign up!
