Urban Ecology Tour at the Brooklyn Navy Yard

Discover the natural world in the midst a thriving urban industrial park on this bicycle and walking tour of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where we will explore New York City’s waterways, terrestrial ecosystems and urban farms. This two-hour bicycle tour is offered to private groups on weekends, subject to availability. Public bicycle tours are offered 1-2 Sundays of October in the afternoons and evenings.

Lovins, one of the world's leading experts on energy systems, will give a talk on how to imagine a world without fossil fuels, without climate change, and with safe, affordable energy for all. He will demonstrate how smart businesses are creating an explosively growing movement to defossilize fuels, and how the US can get completely off oil and coal by 2050.

Volunteer Opportunity: 2014 North American Regional Student Energy Summit

This event aims to bring students across North America together to discuss regional and global issues relating to energy and sustainability. Volunteer / Mentourship opportunity with The High School for Math, Science and Engineering

SUMASA students have the opportunity to with high school students from The High School for Math, Science and Engineering, a NYC magnet school. This is a mentorship opportunity for the SUMA students.
