MSSM Capstone Presented at GreenHomeNYC

On February 20th, MSSM student, Julia Ragragio Ruiz presented a capstone presentation on flood insurance in NYC at the February forum on flood reslience of GreenHome NYC. The presentation was featured along with Albert Wei of Kohn Pedersen Fox and Lance Jay Brown of Lance Jay Brown Architecture + Urban Design and a larger conversation about a flood insurance report prepared for the Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability.

All Ivy Sustainability and Development Career Fair – March 1, 2013

You are invited to the 10th Annual All Ivy Environmental and Sustainability Development Career Fair — this Friday, March 1, 2013! For the past 9 years, representatives from private companies, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations have attended the fair to discuss careers, internships, graduate and full-time opportunities. The fields traditionally in attendance include sustainability management, environmental policy, environmental science, engineering, city and regional planning, public health and plant and agricultural sciences, to name a few.

Product Lifecycle Assessment and Carbon Footprinting Seminar – Saturday, February 23rd

On Saturday, February 23, the next Sustainability Skills Seminar Series entitled Product Lifecycle Assessment and Carbon Footprinting will be held. Professor Christoph Meinrenken (bio below), Associate Research Scientist with the Lenfest Center for Sustainable Energy at Columbia University's Earth Institute will be conducting the seminar.

Earth Institute Sustainability Management Fellows Program Announced

The Earth Institute and the Masters of Science in Sustainability Management program is very pleased to announce the creation of the Earth Institute Sustainability Management (EISM) Fellows program. This new program provides a total of $50,000 in fellowship funding for use toward the cost of tuition for the M.S. in Sustainability Management program.
