Sustainable Perspectives Symposium: The Systems Approach – Saturday March 30th

SUMASA is proud to present it's major student-run event - SPER'2013 Sustainable Perspectives Symposium: The Systems Approach. In order to develop viable solutions to the problems facing our global society, we need to understand how to think sustainably -- and systematically. SPER'2013 will include a half-day symposium of dynamic speakers across many industries, and a panel discussion that will all provide a first-hand look at applied systems thinking. Keynote speaker, Elizabeth Thompson of the Buckminster Fuller Institute, will unpack the core concepts of systems thinking and how they can be implemented to solutions for climate change, environmental degradation, and economic instability. An interactive workshop will explore previous winners of the BFI's Challenge and provide a first-hand look at applied systems thinking.
