CU Business School Private Equity and Venture Capital Conference – Friday, February 15th

Columbia Business School’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Club and The Private Equity Program is hosting their 19th annual Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference on February 15th. This year’s conference will bring 800 professionals, alumni, and students to Alfred Lerner Hall for a day of candid discussion on the state of the industry. The 2013 Conference theme ‘Creating Value in a Shifting Landscape’ will focus on the emerging challenges and opportunities facing the private equity and venture capital industries in the coming year. Panelists will discuss a breadth of topics including middle market operational investment, the wave of early stage investment, and the directive between General and Limited partners.

Clean Energy Connections Panel Discussion – Tuesday, February 5th

On Tuesday, February 5th Clean Energy Connections hosts a panel discussion called Energy Storage: Crossing the Chasm to Commercialization. For this event, leaders working and studying the industry will dive into successes, failures and the steps which can be taken to expedite the commercialization and deployment of advanced storage technologies. Panelists include: William Acker - Executive Director, The New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium (NY-BEST), Gabe Miller - Chief Scientific Officer, Hudson Clean Energy Partners, and Valerio De Angelis - Executive Director, CUNY Energy Institute, and the discussion will be moderated by SUMA's own Zach Pollock of Smart Grid Analyst, Greentech Media.
